"La Chandeleur" is a Christian holiday in France which is normally celebrated on 2nd February. Given that that was a Sunday, we celebrated it at Northolt a few days later! Traditionally, this holiday marked the harvest and the midway point of winter; nowadays it has become part of French culture and people from all religions make crêpes on this day. Ms Ladjimi helped us to celebrate this with students in Year 8. Each student brought in an ingredient to help make the crêpes. Students worked in small groups, following the recipe in French. They raised £45 which will be donated to the charity MIND. Thank you for organising this Ms Ladjimi!
